The formation and tactics were wrong but he's right about dwelling on the ball. Absolutely no urgency or fight against a dreadful team who were there for the taking. Sick of saying that this season.
One of the worst midfield displays for years. No cover for the defence, no pass and move, no get up and at them and definitely no width.
Midfield was dreadful, but even when they've been (easily) overcome, you still expect the defence to put up some resistance. FFS, two of them have claims to be Premiership players. (Alternate universe). But it was "come on in and help yourselves, lads". Cranie is out of position, but presumably because Danny doesn't feel safe with him in the middle. That he continues to wear the captain's armband when demonstrating no leadership or encouragement of his teammates is symptomatic of what's holding us back. He is the last vestige of the losing mentality that infected us last year. He should have been let go pre-season, and should be even more so now - having proved he can't even hack it at League One level. We really need to be ruthless with this team, because it's evident the cancer has still not totally been cut out.
