Looks like no Cywka or O'Brien. Keeper signing looks like cover for Luke's departure. COG eyed up by our League One rivals? I know I said the players were no good and I stick to that. But no-one in and just a gnat's **** away from the traditional pre-season return date? It looks like nil investment, and no sign of the promised takeover. I'm desperately looking for optimistic signs, but on any rational view we'll do well just to stay in League One. I suppose all you can say is that this time last year we were full of hope and that proved wide of the mark. But my word, we're not looking in good shape so far as I can see.
On the other hand, we are not ladened with debt, about to go into administration, or about to be taken over by someone from Malaysia looking to launder their ill-gotten gains. If the worst comes to the worst we'll play a bunch of young local lads who at least won't be suffering from journeyman-itis and may even take pride in playing for Barnsley.
