Yes he has done Barnsley proud.

    He's made people smile.

Anything that gives/shows Barnsley in a positive light is a good thing.

He's said a lot of positive things about Barnsley since the start of the series.

Good luck to him. I couldn't have done it. But I think I can sing better than Shane . And so can my dog.(H)

I wouldn't know whether he's done anything for the club that coached him, or why? Best ask him!

But a lot of positive press has been written about Tarn because of his involvement with this series, that HAS to be a good thing.

    OOB.

Sorry when did Darren Gough use BFC to gain column inches?

I hate Dickie Bird for what him and Parky did.....a detest.

Darren Gough is a good thing for this town. He has done it to further his career and fair enough. His status as a cricketer and the way he carried himself as a player has won it and I for one am proud to see a tarn lad prosper.

Now Dickie is a different species... he used the club to gain imho

Goughie has never claimed to be a tarn fan as DB and MP did as though season ticket holders.

    Well done daz

Dickie Bird always has been, and STILL IS, a season ticket holder at Oakwell!

Whether he has used BFC to gain, I don't know. Parky definitely has, and is rarely seen at Oakwell these days, unlike Dickie.

So just how, exactly, has Parky "gained" from mentioning a connection to BFC?

I'm intrigued how it boosted his chat show status - maybe Paul McCartney wouldn't have appeared tonight had Parky not been a Barnsley fan!

Parky is a Man Ure fan.....Always HAS been by his own admission.

But then said that he liked Tarn................Still....who are we to judge?

    OOB.
