SUPERB today mate. Thought he was solid v wendies and equally if not better today. I have never knocked him on this site and have always been behind him. I think he will win the barnsley faithful over. I think some apologies are due guys.
Spot on mate Think we are more solid with him playing. Might be lacking in pace but he makes up for that with his experience.
He's looked very impressive these last couple of games I don't think he was that bad in the previous games mind.
He was excellent - again - today. Still can't do anything right according to some of those who sit near me, though.
He will always have people who want him out. Some fans are just that, FANS. Others like myself and many others know the game and Myself played at centre half for a few seasons semi pro. He positions himself well and knows he aint got the pace but his reading of the game is spot on. Thats how he has got along in his career. He has played in the top two divisions for over 10 years and has always been in the first 11 wherever he has been. Solid old fashioned centre half. Fair enough he cant dictate play but one chris morgan is like this and werent we barnsley fans wanting him back 2 years ago? WELL DONE DARREN KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
That 70 yard cross field ball for Hume was magnificent. I knew all along that was the ball he was looking for.
As long as he's never the last man hanging back its ok I agree the 2 games he's been faultless, but if he's the last man we're exposed to his lack of pace. Well done Darren long may it continue.
I can remember adebola at coventry causing our back 4 all sorts of problems. Big dave will be the presence we have been missing. A man mountain he is. He had all the city forwards in his pocket today. Fair enough last man he will struggle. But the other 3 should always be covering as all good defences do.
You could asy that about any CB Also, I'm not convinced Souza is any faster, so its unfair to level this at Moore. The crowd was behind him today (certainly around where I was sitting) and he clearly appreciated that at the final whistle. To be honest, I think the criticism of him b4 was disrespectful.
No I disagree No way does Moore have the same, or faster pace as Souza. Teams (Donny for one) have pushed players right up to play off Moore's shoulder, it hasn't happened with Souza though.Your right about the crowd being behind him though
RE: No I disagree Hi, Maybe you could explain how Moses (Crystal Palace) managed to "outpace" Kozluk & JCR for the penalty last week. Would Moore have done any worse?
I thought he'd come good in the end, so that is good to read. I always remember him as being like a brick ***** house!
I think we are in agreement I was just trying to make the point that even if you DO have pace, it's no guarantee. I still think Souza is slow, though Enjoy your evening, Stephen
STOP ARGUEING!!! OH DARREN MOORE, DARREN DARREN DARREN MOORE, DARREN DARREN DARREN MOORE, DARREN DARREN DARREN MOORE. a one two three four OH DARREN MOORE lol
We definitely need him against... forwards like Dele Adebola and similar, who used to bully us last season sometimes - or Shefki Kuqi this season, come to that!
