Do you think he will have taken a pay cut to come to us? i mean captain of a Premier League team in Derby last season, surely he was on a nice wage. Chuffed we got him like (nodding2fingers)
Total guess but I would say at Derby on £8-10k per week. At Barnsley somewhere between £4 and £5k per week. So yes, a pay cut BUT we offered him a contract Derby didn't. I agree - arguably our best signing so far of the summer especially considering no fee involved. I have heard all the criticism about his lack of pace, but we won't ever sign the perfect player given our current resources/status - his height, strength an experience however are the big plus points for me.

Should we sell him to Grimsby? Season-long loan? two month loan?</p> Does Rob have what it takes at this level.</p> Wherever he has gone, the people all think that he is good and they want him back. reckon rob should be given one more season out on loan but at a stronger league one club work him up to the first team that way
