Davey deserves everything he gets if he continues to play Darren Moore.

Shocking player, no pace, no touch, no control. Complete and utter liability and if we'd lost yesterday there'd be a lot more folk on here saying the same.

Moore is a liability. having been beaten at the edge of the area, how he got away with just sitting down, and then getting a foul for it, is beyond comprehension.

Utter utter ****** keep believing s*it that comes out of your mouth

Put one foot wrong all afternoon, dint make a mistake against Cov.Wins everything that comes his way, it seems Barnsley fans need a hate figuare every season and this season its him, great attitude lads. He's a leader on and off the pitch and will prove to be a great addition to the squad

So if we'd have lost you'd have blamed him would you? on what basis. I just wonder if Derby had of scored when Leon and Howard lost posession due to sheer greediness would they have got any flack? would they shi*te

You don't know your ar*se from your elbow let alone a good centre half from a bad one

    He was truely shocking yesterday

He'd be ok to throw on in the last 15 mins to repel a long ball game if we're winning, but we need someone with pace

    Completely and utterly disagree...........

Yesterday was a poor performance by anyones standards...... Steele, Kozluk and Devaney did ok, and KO when he came on but thats about it.

As far as Darren Moore is concerned I feel his treatment by the majority of home fans was appalling. I have never seen so much aggression and abuse of a player who has played so few games for the club. Before kick-off he was being slated and he was jeered by many home fans everytime he touched the ball. I don't deny he had a poor start to the game but is it any suprise when, he had a nervous start with the home fans on his back from kick-off.

Darren Moore has captained three premiership promotion winning sides (Bradford, Derby & WBA) and played over 100premiership appearances. He is an vertern but has never been blessed with pace, his key attributes have always been his size / physical presence, strength, heading ability and organisational skills. He is what he is a old fashioned centre half. For years we have been crying out for and experienced centre half at Oakwell, yet as soon as we sign one he is slated for being slow and not having the poor touch. He hasn't become a bad player over night!

The guy behind me made the comment "I bet Derby fans were laughing when we signed Moore, he's awful". On the contrary he was voted their player of the season last year byt players and fans a like. The few Derby fans I have spoken to rate him highly.

As noted above the first 20mins he was awful! but lets be fair both teams were poor thoughout in the first half. He improved thoughout the game, he won everything in the air and looked dangerous at set peices. If you noticed Derby had at least two men marking him at every corner, this left gaps in the defence and late in the game allowed Foster to head home. His shear presence alone will cause teams problems as defenders can't handle him. At the other end defending set peices has been our down fall in the past, with Moore back their we have someone who can get the ball clear as he will beat most people in physical battle. We didn't look troubled by any of Derby's setplays, and we didn't concede.

Not the best game yesterday but come on lets give the lads some credit. They won, scored two good goals and kept a clean sheet. Roll on the next game!

    Hasn't he always been slow?

    Hi Mate,

I can't imagine a lack of pace makes him a poor footballer all of a sudden.

Certainly there are footballers (such a Michael Owen) that rely on pace. When they lose a bit of that, they lose their ability to play effectively.

Moore is hardly in that position.

Leon did get some stick not from the fans but from Moore, he's the type of centre half we have needed for a few years. He would make an ideal captain
    if Howard go's.

    Okay he's slow...

but he's the player with experience we cried out for all last year. Chris Lucketti was someone mentioned, and I don't think he has the best turn of speed.

Moore was slow at WBA and Derby. Yet he didn't do too bad there. And in an abysmal season for Derby, why was he voted their player of the year?

He's had 4 games, and some people have determined he is crap. Yet he wins the majority of balls in the air, and can read the game better than most.

Let's get off his back, and start giving some support to our players.

You need to have at least one highly mobile centre half

Look what happened last week- you get the likes of Kevin Phillips playing against you and you're buggered.

He's got good awareness has Darren and thats why he's done well, but he will have had good players round him. He's too slow and a liability at the moment, as his allround game isn't making up for his lack of pace. How many times did he sky a clearance yesterday? Didn't even clear the ball well- basics

    Those two skyed clearances

The second one (just a few moments after the first) HAD to be a wind up on Moore's part. He must have known the reaction he was gonna get, but he did it anyways... :D

What you see is what you get

no nonsense centre back - he doesn't aspire to be a centre back like Ferdinand - gets stuck in uses his physical presence - got a great reception from the Derby fans

    Darren Moore (My View)

As i said yesterday, some fans are just that, Fans. Others have a footballing brain and understand the game and players. I have played the game at a high level and im telling you that Darren Moore will bring stability to the side. Ok he lacks pace but so do othe rplayers in our side. Darren Moore V Diego Leon, who will win? Ok he made some mistakes yesterday but one of the bad mistakes he made was caused from a hospital ball from Leon. Darren will win everything in the air and will come on top of players that the back 4 has struggled against in the past like Adebola, Andy Gray and Kevin Kyle. He won everything in the air yesterday and with the presence of Muller soon, we will concede less from set pieces. I for one wanted us to buy a centre half like him. He wears the shirt of our club for gods sake. Why boo one of our own. Some havent even given him a chance. Michael Chopra anyone? He was booed against Doncaster 3 years ago and look at him now. After the season we all wanted him back. I know that someone will reply with the "he's slow and a liability comment" but everyone has an opinion and mine is that if a player who plays for the club and doesnt try and cant be asked in a game ie Deon Burton, Boo him then. If a player plays for the club, gives one hundred percent and is well respected, get behind him. I thought it was appauling to boo him and take the piss out of yesterday. All clubs have morons, unfortunatly, we fall into that category.

Talking about slow players , how slow was super Johnie Macken when he got his clear cut chance 6 yards out? if that had been oddjob he would have been slaughtered, bye the way who put the perfect cross in it cant have been Devaney can it. The muppets that just moan all the time want to take a look at all 11 players not just Moore & Devaney.
