If he is not fit for the game today and we have to resort to Potter at centre half and El Haimour at left back we realy are struggling! Parkin is a real handfull and if he has one of his better games it could be a long long night...

Thing is, SD says in his pre-match notes that we are only after Andy Gray now BUT states that we short of cover in defence in the same notes!

I saw where Parkin had a personal trainer and is now as fit as ****. Would have liked to see him in a Reds shirt again. I would prefer him to Gray or Alan Lee. Plus Preston are supposed to be skint......JMV

Was on the bench for the Rovers game I heard, maybe he isn't match fit just match fat. And Potter was great when he came on in place of Kozzie against Ferencvaros at left back.

And that 1 up front can still trouble us at the back.

    RE: Parkin

true, particularly when it was Wallace that came in to play on the wide side of a 5 man midfield, his crosses will trouble tonight if playing. Also if Parkin is playing we'll sruggle with strength.
