I hope our boys move in on their target quick. Don't want to get in some managerial merry go round with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That news won't have helped us. All the available managers now have another potential offer on the table in a very similar position. Do we think we are a more attractive proposition that Sheffield Wednesday?
In reality we're on a par. But no one will see it that way, they'll see Wednesday's bigger attendances, bigger ground and more illustrious history and not give us a second thought. No one will bother to look at the budget, the accounts, the debts or the recent history of both clubs. If they did they might conclude we're just as good a proposition, maybe better in the short term, but no one will. Anyone that does, anyone with a bit nous, will be more than welcome at our club. Wednesday certainly have the potential to be a bigger club than us, they were in the past, they're from a bigger city with more fans, but they haven't been for a good number of years. And with the way the two clubs are set up right now, I don't think they are a better proposition. Don't expect anyone to see that though.
Did a great job at Stockport in the 90's… About the time DW was at Oakwell. Time moves on. Love 'em & leave 'em was my grandma's motto.
