With bringing the game into disrepute after comments about the referee at the Bristol City game. No doubt he will be charged for comments about Kettle as well.
What A Great World We Live In Davey gets fined for freedom of speech (he didn't swear or anything), the ref gets away with his bad performance and then on boxing day someone who incites 10k home fans gets away with a warning. Davey gets the worse punishment and yet did the least punishable thing.
its pathetic really - "dont say anything bad about us" gagging mentality ie. we know we are **** but dont want you pointing out all the time.
But we all knew he would be charged The Football league doesn't allow freedom of speech - one of the conditions of playing in its leagues is you cant criticise its operation in public. You might not like it but its the way it works. We also know he will be found guilty, fined and probably banned from the touchline for a game or two as well. I cant see how he can be in trouble for his after match comments against Kettle though - he hasnt really said much other than he cant say anything The behaviour of the Stoke number 10 is a different matter - if the 4th official doesnt report him for spitting at the crowd in the ponty and making inflammatory guestures to the crowd in the west stand there is something seriously wrong.
Isn't that the case with most employers/organisations? If I openly criticised my employers I don't think I'd be working for them for long.
The football league don't employ Davey The referee at the Bristol game certainly doesn't. Simon Davey works for Barnsley football club. That said, in my opinion he shouldn't have mentioned the referee. Such talk does a losing manager no favours at all.
That's why I also said "organisation" The company he is employed by are a member of that organisation and abide by their rules.
