Neither are good enough for the PL so they will be back. We will just have to do without them for a couple of games in January. Or forget them and get replacements. I am sure SD knows what he is doing.

Loss of Nyatanga is a .............DISASTER

Our defence is the reason we have had so much success this season
Davey has built a team from the back.......Nyatanga leaving is going to leave one hell of an hole in that defence
We have no one at the club at the present time to take his place (doh) (doh) (doh)

obvious solution is Hassell or Van Homet at right back and foster at centre back, but i still think Davey will buy another centre back

He is not that good. He has been a part of a much improved defence. But there is no denying that Souza and, in particular, Foster have been the most impressive. Move Foster into his preferred position at CB and get the proven Bobby Hassel in at RB or this Van Homoet looks a decent player. Personally I think there will be a new CB coming in.

Foster will be ok as a replacement

He doesn't take any risks and in some ways is quite similar to Nyatanga.

Nyatanga is a good player, but i seem to remember him making a few fatal errors this season that have cost us, i agree with pony72 that souza and foster have been much better and id prefer to keep them instead of nyatanga

Nyatanga will be a really good player in a couple of years. Easy to forget that he is only at the same sort of age as Rob Atkinson. At the moment he would be the one to be replaced if a better CB came in. But I will say that for his age I think he is a superb player.

Macken is a big loss. He has got a touch up front that nobody else in the squad has got. I am hoping that this Leon comes in and tunes into Mostto's wavelength.

    Why All The Worrying?

Lewin is good, but he's not as great as some make out on here and has been at fault for many of the set pieces we have let in. Macken on the otherhand as a good game, but cannot get the goals we need on a regular basis. Plus i'm sure Simon will sort it out adequately.

No it's not. Im sure Davey will have a plan and I'd quite like to see Foster play along side Dennis with Bobby Hassel back at right back. Foster has done great for us on the right this season but its not his preffered position - with Bobby coming back to fitness perhaps he should be rewarded with a run in his natural position?

Sorry, but personally I do not think Hassell is any better than Reid or Kay. He's a League One player at best.

Hassell is one of my favourites over the past few years and i'd love for him to get a run in the team as reward for coming back from such a terrible injury. I just hope he's the same player we had before he got injured.

Foster has been brilliant this season. A major plus is that he puts quality balls into the box. A quiet unsung hero for us. A leading contender for player of the season and a future club captain.

Obviously would have rather seen them stay but I have 100% faith in Davey and the rest of our squad.

You cannot upset a proven and settled centre back pairing........without

    Risking mishaps
Foster might be good..........but its a risk putting him at centre back and hoping he will strike up a partnership with Sousa straight away.......it might happen.......it might not
It would be better if we hadn't got to try it half way through a season
