Yes, I'd have Kyel Reid back though. He got better as he played more. Natural left sided, with a left foot too.
Just look at the creativity in the centre midfield. I remember us playing most of that game lumping long balls forward due to having nobody with any real nous in the middle. Nardy was hardly the strongest in the air & Knight was about 4'2" with his platforms on!
RE: Just look at the creativity in the centre midfield. you say that but its the lack of crweativity that keeps being blamed for our lack of goals, or mebbe it is the strikers who are ***** after all (doh)
RE: Just look at the creativity in the centre midfield. I didn't really comment either way, but my view is that I would have hoped we'd have at least a settled, gelled squad and proven gameplans in place by now since that first game. Could argue about the two teams all night, but the fact is I hardly think we've moved on and surely that should be the case 3 seasons on after promotion.
without doubt..... Looking at the starting line ups you have quoted consider the following Match ups (old vs current) I'm sure most will agree that with out doubt the current squad is much improved. 1. Colgan vs Steele = Steele 2. Hassell vs Hassell = Hassell 3. Hecky vs Souza = Souza 4. Kay vs Foster = Foster 5. Reid vs Moore = Moore 6. McCann vs Howard = Howard 7. Togwell vs Devaney = Devaney 8. Wallwork vs Leon = Leon 9. Nardiello vs Macken = Macken 10. Knight vs Teale = Teale 11. Hayes vs El Haimour = El Haimour Note: the above does not include Muller, De Silva, Hume and Colace (who is an unknown quantity). Most of whom would go straight into the starting XI I fell we have had arguably the toughest fixtures in the division so far. Their will be few teams that go to Loftus Road & St Andrews and pick up points this season. By all accounts reports suggest we are playing well and have been unlucky. The transfer window is not yet shut so we still have time to strengthen and we have some key players to return from injury. Get off Davey's back and get behind the lads on Saturday!
Don't think anybody would argue against the squad being stronger now, but the plain truth of the matter is that the manager has not got the slightest idea what to do with the assets at his disposal.
Say the strikers havent moved on that much Marc Richards scored more than KO did last season and Richards wasnt good enough!
