2 defeats away from home can happen to the best sides, as for the midfield, we've all seen already that it can and will provide and score.
If you say so.
I think we need to strengthen the wide positions and get some genuine threats there.
Otherwise the signing of strikers is pointless.

There's always room for improvement no matter what level a clubs at, we could debate the strengths and weaknesses for ever, but I'm sure you'll agree Simon Davey has transformed the team from a side full of triers to a side that looks capable of holding it's own in this division with attractive footy.
He has shown that he is capable of getting the team to play decent football, but then we had that early last season as well.
What puzzles me is why it doesnt happen or try and make it happen every game.

I would agree upto recently. The past few games we have gone more direct and it's not been pretty to watch.
Im with you on this Andy Its ok bringing Macken in who in his dim and distant past was a goalscorer and may be again BUT although its been easy to be critical of our strike force, how many times have they been played in on goal by our midfield? not many as I can recall. If Macken is served up with the same type of chest and head high balls then he wont reign long before hes getting slated as well. It was ok blaming opposing teams for coming and defending when we were in div one but theres no excuse now because teams come to play a more open game. Its time for us to wake up and start creating chances for our front men.
Good spot. Thought it was just me. Odejayi's had the flack 'cos he struggles to hold the ball up, but he's been fed crumbs at best. Which is slightly more than Mossto, who's ended up tracking so far back to get the ball he and Muller get in each other's way. But another striker will sort it. Obviously.
RE: Im with you on this Andy We have only had 13 matches so far this season, and bringing in Macken, will no doubt put pressure on the 4 strikers that we have. But how fit his he? He is 30, hasn't played a league match for goodness knows how long. Was taken off last season when Derby played us and kicked the hell out of the dug out when he was brought off. If he was under pressure last season against the worst defence in the championship, and couldn't make any impact on our defence. How come he is going to be our saviour now. I suppose we shall have to wait and see, he could be another Jamie Cureton, ( who hadn't done much for years untill he moved to Colchester) here's hopeing. (worship)
Howards goals whilst obviously useful have masked the fact that our midfield doesnt create very much.
How many "quality" chances have we missed this season , I'd say very few as we havent created very much.

We have brought in 4 strikers this year at a combined cost of about £1.5m and we have a glaringly obvious problem up front. And you see that as a positive thing then? Each to his own I suppose.
I don't understand at what point, and why, the team thought: "I've an idea, you know that attractive passing football that's getting us results, yeah, well I’ve an idea. Bear with me on this one - let hoof it aimlessly to no one. Who's in? Everyone, great."
