on Radio Sheff a couple of weeks ago that not getting relegated was an achievement. So for the last 3 seasons we've actually over achieved..... by a couple of points, a couple of places. Not good enough, and it's not what the fans want to hear, and talk like that won't sell season tickets. Eventually relegation catches up with you, as does promotion. You can't really see us setting the league alight next season and even at this stage I would imagine we're odds on favourites for the drop. It's bloody awful being pessimistic after yesterday but why the hell did it end up like it did? We're going to have to re-learn to impose ourselves as a team on the opposition, not react to how they play. Be proactive instead of reactive. Anyway, yesterday's survival will have cost me £300 for a s.t. renewal. I honestly wasn't going to bother if we'd gone down. After 40 years of watching the reds I'd got so depressed with all the defeats, especially at home this season. Some of you will travel further than me to games but it's still bloody expensive to travel to home games and quite frankly I'd lost the will. Here's to better things.
Andy Ritchie got sacked... for saying he didn't think we could make the Premiership. The Chairman said he didn't match the Board's ambition.
Will the same thinking be applied to Simon Davey for what is a very similar comment?

It's completely different. I think Davey was referring to the problems this year like Colace missing for first 2 months, same Muller & Anderson, our captain and top scorer requesting a move & our £1 million striker being laid up for 3/4 of the year.
