And quite right to, i was one of the fans who slated Shephard for appointing Davey and also could not see how Davey would last but i am happy to eat humble pie and say i was wrong, for what Davey has acheived this season so far we must believe in his judgement about OJ. The lad has not had many games and has played a bit part therefore how can we expect him to perform instantly to satisfy the Pure Morons who booed on saturday.

    So he should.

How many of them who had a go at him would be brave enough to have a go at him face to Face?

I was pleased that Davey brought him off but singling out one player and booing him is not what a "real" fan should be doing.

Poor Man Management by Davey IMO

Should have subbed him before he was subjected to it.... it was obvious he was off his game, it was obvious his head went down after miss in first half, it was obvious the fans were beginning to blame him (rightly or wrongly - it's irrelevant) for everything. Davey's job is to manage the whole situation & in my opinion that involves taking care of players who are getting stick. He left him on the pitch when he wasn't performing... he left him to be subjected to horrible abuse. That will have done far more damage to a player whose confidence was low in the first place. I can't see that ODJ is streets ahead of Mostto in terms of selection so by the early 2nd half it was a no-brainer. He should have been subbed. I'm not anti- Davey, I think he's done an excellent job, but fans booing their own players is (sadly) part of the package. He shouldn't have left ODJ in that situation.

    "Real Fan"

    What?? I Hate that saying.

What has the term "Real Fan" got to do with someone booing, it makes them neither more or less a reds fan just because they vent there anger this way. The lads not good enough and from where i sit there's very few people who think he should be in the team and when i say very few i mean none. I forone1 am sick of other players been overlooked for this guy, he gives very little in the way of effort and has had more than enough opportunities - maybe a stint in the reserves will do him good.

    Davey and subs

For me this is his one major fault, he leaves it far too late in the game and gives the subs very little chance to do anything. Im sick of him leaving players on the park who can hardly walk through exhaustion when he has fit and capable bodies sat on the bench.

Poor man management by Davey ?

I dont think its fair to blame Davy.

How was he to know the reaction KO would get from our own lovable version of the Ultras?

If KO had stayed on an put one away he would have been a hero.

Most strikers have a strike rate of around 20% of their shots hitting the back of the net or even less.

Didn't it take Chopra 12 games to get his first goal for us?

How many chances are you willing to give him when there players at the club who have'nt been given a sniff, Christensen and Mostto must think what the hells going on when he gets the nod every time instead of them.

The lads league 2 maybe 1 at the best, he is not a footballer he's an athlete.

RE: Poor man management by Davey ?

Well put it this way, I turned to my sister at the start of 2nd half, and said I thought he ought to get ODJ off because he's not contributing, he's getting stick, and it's getting worse. Then he had the shot that screwed well wide & the abuse was awful. If I could see it - why couldn't Davey? It's been building up for a while - the collective groan when he came on at Bramall Lane etc... it's wrong, but it's happening, and leaving ODJ on the pitch for as long as he did is just going to make it 10 times worse next time he makes a mistake.

I'd go with Mossto every time.

He has looked a much more technically gifted player than Christenson when I have seen them both play in the reserves.

KO may not yet be a competent performer at Championship level and will booing him will will improve his game?

    I think not.

I understand your sentiment but that doesn't alter my opinion that booing an individual player is wrong.

We should never boo a player of our own team!

When he is wearing the shirt they should get all the support we can give them.

Fair enough, come on here, call up the local phone-ins, write to the local rag, and slag them off, but not during the match.

I wasn't that happy when I heard the team announced either, but ffsake, can't we get behind our team when they are on the park?

if KO was still playing now - with no goaly in we would still be waiting on seeing a goal

he has had more chances than the rest of the fringe strikers.

About time the others got theirs now.

If i was the Barnsley manager, Odejayi would be first on the team sheet against Scnuthorpe. I would say to him, "go out my son and give them Scunny defenders hell, and prove to the boo boys back at Oakwell that you are a decent player and a valuable part of the squad." Bet Davey plays him tomorrow and he scores. :)

If he plays tomorrow and messes up a great chance to score early on it will set the tone for the game and deflate the travelling fans, he should be on the bench tomorrow and miguel should be given the shirt. Christensen should also be given at lest 20/25 mins before Odejayi. Its time for him to be dropped, he has had his chances let others have theres.
