They'll be major changes this summer That article is definately Cryne letting the fans know that changes are imminent. He's not the type to go talking to the media, so saying that to radio sheff utd speaks volumes for me. Just an opinion, but they'll be a new manager in before the end of next week, and Davey will either be given another job or he'll be sacked. Either way he'll be gone cos he won't take a coaching or academy job.
Last summer I understand Davey spent several weeks in Florida coaching, Im speculating that Patrick's comments are a pre emptive "lots of work to be done so dont go pissing off abroad" type thing.
RE: davey out! may is definately best time to get shut, new man has no excuses for **** season next year then, we say thanks simon, overall you did a reasonable job and didnt wreck the club as such just took it a bit sideways, sure he'll get another job off the back of his cv here, and cryne gets an off season full of optimism and maybes, rise in season tickets and a bit a cash to gi new manager
Not wanting to sound bad but really who would be better than Simon Davey? Yes I agree some decisions are not what I would have suggested but he has kept us in the Championship. Look at the money he's had (no disrespect to Patrick Cryne) and the amount of players that were required. Iain Hume was a lot of money to spend on 1 player and that disappeared when Morgan tried to remove his head? I agree we are looking at present as relegation fighters again next season but would don't have the money QPR, Cardiff, West Brom, Newcastle, Leicester etc have do we? I think we can dream but we have to be realistic. Can you see a Danny Wilson ever happening again?
RE: Has Davey got the ability to be fan friendly ? I don't give a ****.
I also don't care whether he whirls his arms around like Barry Fry or stands motionless like Steve Coppell. All I care about is the quality of what I have to watch and also have a limited amount of success (which to me is 10-15th in the league and the odd flutter in the cups)
If PC decides to stick with SD, so be it but he really is drinking in the last chance pub

We have to have ambition I'm not suggesting we should expect another run at the premiership, but we need someone who has more lofty ambitions than avoiding relegation, and the capability to deliver it. I don't think Simon Davey is that man, and speaking to other fans who go week in week out home and away, I haven't spoken to one person who wants him next season. We can do much better than we have this season without radical overhaul to the squad. There's plenty of experience out there to manage our lot better than Davey has done. Plenty.
Will People stop saying he kept us up - more like.. He almost took us down. this team should not have been involved in a last day of the season relegation battle. but for his dodgy tactics, formations, substitutions and jcr free role nonesense. we would have been mid table
