RE: Sousa has verbally accepted................

We could all club together and have him whacked then they'd have to look for another man (Davey).

He will take over from Roberto Martinez, who joined Wigan earlier this week.

Chairman Huw Jenkins said: “Taking into account the development of the football club over the last two and a half years and the image we have portrayed as a footballing side, myself and the board of directors felt it was vital to continue along the same lines.

“It was felt Paulo Sousa is the right man to do this. He is young, bright, enthusiastic and a visionary with extensive knowledge and contacts not only throughout Europe, but world football.”

The 38-year-old has returned to Portugal to discuss the move with his family and it is hoped he will be officially unveiled next week.

Simon Davey would be a less than Mediocre appointment - Huw Jenkins ought to be sectioned under the Mental Health Act for even considering him...
