Said "we paid £175k for JCR and offered 7 fiqure sum and althought we would like to keep him it might be hard to turn down" I read it as SD preparing us for the possible sale.

its inevitable that the higher up the league you go, the more interest your players attract. The critical thing is the message the club gives out: if its a straight "not for sale" maybe there's a chance of holding onto them, and certainly interested clubs know they need to offer serious money. But we've already said "everyone's got their price" which kind of invites speculative bids. Players and agents hold all the power, I suspect be end of this month, at least one of the names mentioned will have gone.

Agree......we should say "no offers below £3m will be considered"

Not let other clubs place values on our players.

Good test of the 'board's' mettle.

Sit down with JCR and Colace et al, tell them we're building and developing and want them here. Then buy a decent striker ffs.

    Or take the money.

If its 1.5 or more - Sell

this time last year Howard was attracting interest at 1.5 million.

    We got 200k for him.

Its hard, but I say sell.

As long as we invest it wisely.

Simon has had some good ens before, Colace, Anderson, Hume, more of the same please!

Still nowhere near the stupid valuations which were being quoted on here. The same stupid valuations are now being trotted out again for a player that a few months ago the majority of fans were likening to "a headless chicken" with no end product. I wish their were more grownups using this site.
