that works fine when you've got a big squad with lots of competition, but...

if he says that to boggy and macken this week and they fail, he then picks oddjob and hume (for example), they then fail and he picks sodje and coulson and they fail, we are back to macken and boggy. Hardly a threat to the likes of macken is it?

 

no real threat to almost the whole team, with the squad we have

sparse cover all over the park, if we are all honest.

Id argue

that el haimour is a midfielder and was signed as a midfielder so he's not competing for a defensive position and potter has never played right back before (at least not at senior level).

6 players competing for 4 positions and only one left footer between the 6 of them I think.

Can see where you're coming from though and it just shows how badly davey is managing us if he thinks that (which i think he does)

We'll soon find out whether theyre upto it or not but even if they are we are still short of a proper left footed left back to push potter for his position. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with kozluk and hassell fighting for the right back position as they're both good there.

I know its still early days but I really don't understand this developement squad, I don't see how it can possibly work when it contains no defenders, goalkeepers and only a couple of midfielders. How can they possibly play games when its only got strikers in it and too many of them to play them all. Not sure its going to work out without a fairly big intake of late teens being signed

 

I'm still waiting for a prem club to swoop in and take Davey off our hands.
