Call me a traditionalist

but I'd like to think that any players that are brought in have something to do with our manager bringing them in!

Martin Wilkinson should have been given the job. How i see it is that all these players are coming via the recommendation of him. Nothing to do with Davey. Wilkinson advises Shephard of players, Shephard tries to buy them, usually unsuccessfully.
