RE: Yes, we lost to a very poor side..................which of course makes matters worse nt Poor side?....it's god help us if you Cov were a poor side. I thought they were the better team by far, not pretty or eye catching but far more positive and effective than we were. Hate to say it but Cov thoroughly deserved their win and had it not been for some woefull finishing, they would have won by 5 goals.
Coventry had one or two players that looked good e.g. left full back...........but ...........on the whole I think we had more talent in the team Which like I said.........makes matters a lot lot worse We played straight into their hands I dont like Odejayi, but he should have been on from the start because I think he would have over powered their defence .............just can't beleive what I've seen today
YN Odi is the only striker i wouldn't like to play against. When he came on today they where pulling all the time. one jumped on him just outside the box but the ref gave nothing like every ref with him.
hes the one striker i'd love to play against Safe in the knowledge that if I **** up or somehow let him past me then he's not going to score or set up anyone else
I don't think that Coventry were poor. To be honest, they looked streets ahead of us. They should have had about 6 goals. We got lucky in the fact that their finishing was poor or Steele pulled off a great save. Rob Kozluck - very disappointed. 3 matches in a row now when he has seriously underperformed. I hope that he learns his lesson and that he has to earn his place back in the side. How bad was that Referee? The free kick that he gave that led to their goal was never a free kick in a million years. There were so many decisions wrongfully given against us - did we get anything? - yes a few minor 'one on ones'. A woeful first home game, but it's a Marathon not a sprint. It will be sorted. I am confident about that. but not much to cheer about today.
Probably, i'd worry about someone who can finish as well as against man city and countless other times last season. And i'd worry about someone who scored just 5 days ago too. Would I worry about odejayi who scored just one goal for us last year? not a chance
You are right about Ko's lack of goals but on todays performance Macken & Boggy would be on the bench on tuesday.
Bogdanovic and macken didn't have one decent ball to them all afternoon I don't think it matters who plays up front at the moment because as ever we create nothing for them. I'd worry more about changing the midfield than the attackers at the moment. Devaney has to come back in for JCR and if Hallfredsson is cleared he'd play for butterfield (not knocking him, just think he could have a rest and come off the bench)
I don't think Coventry were a bad side, not good enough for the top six. But a half decent mid-table side. The yard-stick being, been able to beat the ***** at the bottom. Which at the minute hapens to be us......JMV
I agree but when a ball does come in to the box Macken & boggy are holding hands they never seem to make clever runs or threaten anyone, surely Macken has had enough chances now? No one has been able to form a good partnership with him for the past two years, we cant keep blaming everyone else, I do think Macken has got talent but he just doesnt seem to make much happen.
In the first half Coventry had 3 shots at goal - 2 of these were from free kicks We must have had 6 shots at goal but didn't look like scoring In the second half, after Kozluk got sent off, we hit the panic button - otherwise known as hoof football
we had 6 shots at goal in the first half? The only time their keeper looked like being beaten in the first half was when their player felt sorry for us and tried heading into his own net
I must have fallen asleep The FIRST shot I took note of was by Butterfield after about 70 odd minutes. SD then substituted him for his trouble...
