    Its not even Christmas yet!!! For me that is not good news! Why does it have to be such a long contract? We always end up getting shut and if it is sooner rather than later its gunna cost big time!!!

    Don't worry - for years we have always put a limiter on compo payouts in the event of a sacking.

    But it does tend to work both ways, so the limit would also apply to what we'd get if he walked to a bigger job.

    To my mind, a long contract for a manager is more of a statement of support than anything else - we all know contracts are not worth the paper they are written on.

    What I'm basing that on is that I remember Dennis saying as much a few years ago at one of the supporters meetings. In these days of financial prudence at the club I'd be amazed if the same concept was not still adopted.

    Don't understand Cronkotyke at all.....

    Yeah may go wrong at some point but averaging more than 1 manager every year since Wilson is no way to run a football team.

    He has good contacts, scouts, reputation with Everton/ Derby and Man Utd and most things in place so why not.... How had heard of Muller before he came? Davey has trust in his scouting team and good on the board.

    I for one said bring back Danny but Davey is brilliant with his eye for good players and his tactical awareness. I am thrilled with the news.
