Adamant that we'll stay up...

Whatever recent performances have been like, it's good to hear the positivity.

I hope he's right it would be a shame to go down after all the hard graft he has put into the Club to keep us up and ARs achievement in getting us up in the first place.

Exactly

His interview suggests he will... but we'll wait and see!

Let's hope for a Plymouth away type performance!

RE: Davey sounds very positive ......

If we go at Ipswich tomorrow with clean white shorts, and not brown stained ones, even before the game starts. Then we have a chance, to much respect for other big so-called teams are putting us under to much pressure. Davey should tell them to enjoy the run-in , after all it's only a simple game. Unfortunately Davey complicates the simple game with his inexperience and that rubbs off on the young players. (chinny)

What do you mean when you say Davey complicates the game?

Serious question.

Sounds to me that he has realised that we need to try and win games rather than looking to defend and maybe get a goal but be left with a point if not (which hasnt worked since we played WBA). Maybe he is gonna let the team attack for the run in. After all 2 wins is as good as 6 draws.

I think

that Davey lets the players have too much info on the opposition, they are scared to death of them. They go out, seemingly under the orders, scared to put the opposition under pressure cos they have been told that the y are a better team.
Thats my opinion on what I have seen since the turn of the year anyway. I may be wrong.

RE: I think

Well I don't really know what info he gives the team on the opposition, I think you would have to ask one off the players that. The only info I ever needed was " is the guy I am up against left of right footed".

RE: I think

thats all they should need I reckon. All this about needing to watch videos and read files on the opposition must get you thinking about what they are going to do to you , instead of what you should be doing to them. Or am I too naive? probably,

He complicates the game with to much respect for the opposition, he has dossiers on the other team ,information on how to play our players in positions they are not use to. I am no football coach, but he seems to be like Don Revie in the old days, Revies biggest down fall was giving his England players to much information on the opposition. Then when it came to the actual game the players didn't know what shift they were on and forgot what they were supposed to do. I'm not against this play plan, but over done, it leaves players clueless as we have seen in recent performances. :)
