NEW Barnsley manager Simon Davey gave his thoughts after defeat at Wolves condemned the Reds to a miserable start to 2007.

Speaking after the game, Simon said: "I am very disappointed with the result really. I thought we were well in the game until Wolves scored their first one.

"We had our chances but again could not put them away and were punished on the break.

"We played pretty well in the first half and soaked up a lot of pressure before countering well. We had our chances and counter attacked well. Nick (Colgan) made a great save from the penalty and I was fairly comfortable at half time.

"We went 4-5-1 because we wanted to soak up what Wolves could throw at us and hit them on the break. We did that in the first half pretty well and were unlucky not to score.

"Goals change games and we have to put our chances away".
