I think its about time Davey realised that he's no longer in charge of an academy but managing a team of professionals...
A mate of mine told me that he went down to the training a few weeks ago and was talking to Andy Johnson..... He asked him why he wasnt getting near the first team..... He was told better ask the manager, cos he wont even speak to me.... Went to say he was off the pop and had been for a while and had been working his guts out in training, but still Davey wont even acknowledge the fact he's alive, he also said it was the same for Christensen and Ricketts....

This might be ok if your managing Kids, but Christensen cost us a fair bit of cash and all three will have been drawing a decent wage from us all year... and what have we got from them.... a handful of appearances.... A club like ours cant afford a manager that wont swallow his pride and play the players we have on the books....

Hassle yestersday, tried his heart out and hit some wonderful diagonal balls out wide. but he isnt a midfielder yes he can break the play up but then when he has the ball he lacks that bit of composure and quality to make something of the possesion. Surely Johnson could have done a job in their. Or even on the bench, instead of Butterfield (dont get me started on that 1, the most pointless substitution of all time).

I really feel for K.O yes we've known for a while he's just not of the right Standard, but because of Davey's reluctence to admitt he's wrong he's just kept throwing him back to the wolves. The result of this is the poor lad will have knightmare the rest of his life about missing that chance. You could see as he steadied him self to shoot the wieght of expection from the Barnsley fans descend on him and he couldnt cope. He should never have been out there and all the fans know it.....

    Sorry Rant over (furious)

Spot on with everything there! The 84th minute sub had me going bonkers with anger up in the stands!! At least Sky wheeled out Parky and not Dickie Bird for thier coverage. Watched the game back this afternoon. Tarn were the best team, the players did us proud but it was Davey who looked lost??

I know I'm on my own here but...

...I completely accept that KO can not finish BUT his all round game is good. He causes far more problems than Ferenczi. We don't know what has gone on with Kim C but we don't see him in training or know what goes on behind close doors. It seems strange that everyone seems to think he is the wronged party.

What choice did he have but play Odejayi yesterday. Macken was cup-tied, Nardiello injured. Kim C wouldn't have been match fit anyway. Regardless of the miss KO caused problems, won knock downs and he is the only striker at the club with the pace to have got in that position anyway. Yes he should have scored but if Ferenczi hadn't been crap someone decent would have got on the end of KO's work and scored anyway

YOu're not on your own. I rate Kayode, I think he is a decent target man and good squad player. The problem is the man playing off him.

    When Butterfield came on

my brother said 'WTF's that all about?'</p>

I said 'Davey knows we've lost, he's just putting the kid on for the experience&quot;</p>

And sad though it is, I really believe that's the truth of it.</p>

I hope we do stop up and Davey proves a lot of people wrong, he made a lot of changes at the begin of the season
when things needed changing. He's a strong minded manager they turn out to be the best ones I just we give him
    the chance.

    Thats ridiculous

We were the best team but that had nothing to do with Davey. Come on mate. We were the best team on the day, a team Davey has assembled and coached. We had 4 of our best players missing (Muller, de Silva, Nyatanga and Macken) as well. His tactics beat Chelsea and got us back in to the game against Liverpool. All that was missing yesterday was a prolific striker which you don't get for the money Davey has had to spend on strikers at this level

Wolves dont want him either because he keeps getting a start with us

well somebody would have said it so it may as well have been me

I can understand that as a new manager SD had to impose himself on his players so the 'my way or the highway' approach has its place. Unfortunately we are at the sharp end of the season now and the my way or the highway is likely to result in the better players taking the highway to other clubs

a more experienced and confident manager may have tried KO in different positions, same as Mostto but if he has brought them in as strikers then thats where they play - a more confident manager may have tried Johnson and Christiansen but it hasnt happened. Its too late to experiment so the first team pretty much picks itself. More of the same then - Barnsley nil

    Can't agree with that

If someone has broken the rules, especially boozing, then Davey is right to freeze him out. I honestly don't believe that he'd ignore someone if they're doing well in training. Look at Disco- he dropped him when he wasn't pulling his weight, for a good few matches.</p>

He also got Nardi back after he stitched him up in close season. I'm not saying he doesn't hold grudges, but he's the man in charge, and he knows whether someone is worth a game.</p>

    I think.....!</p>
