Thought it was just Taylor and Rowing.

And I don't think either of those would have much say!

    Do we really believe that?

    P6 W1 L5 and the board aren't discussing what's wrong?

Should they use the same criteria for sacking him as Ritchie?

i.e. PPG? or is SD a special case and needs to be given more time?

RE: Should they use the same criteria for sacking him as Ritchie?

Whether you agree with the criteria or not, one of the things Ritchie was sacked for was his ppg over the first 18 games of that particular season. I don't think using Davey's ppg over the first 6 games of this season would be very fair. Incidentally, his ppg up to the end of last season was way ahead of Ritchie's.

No it wasn't. You are trying to compare Ritchie's worst period

to Davey's overall period. Ritchies last 18 games have the same ppg as Davey's last 18. Ritchie had much the higher overall ppg.

RE: pontyender, you obviously like davey, which is your choice, but

I don't particularly like him and do my fair share of criticising him. I just think quite a few on here have been after him from day one because he was seen as the cheap option and wasn't a 'name'. I also don't think it's fair to judge his tilt at this season until he has a fully fit and match sharp squad to choose from.

The only period of Ritchie's that can be compared is his 18 games in the Championship.

'Ritchies last 18 games have the same ppg as Davey's last 18.'

Even if we look at it like that, it would read as follows:

    Last 18 League games:

    Ritchie 15 pts (0.83 ppg)

    Davey 17 pts (0.94 ppg)

So no, they haven't got the same ppg.

Sneaky, ignoring the two competitive cup defeats that we have suffered under Davey

ie Cardiff and Crewe. The last 18 competitive games for davey gives 0.833ppg based on three points for a win and one for a draw.

They are just as competitive as any other game and just as important

And if you look at Paul.d's managers stats for all past barnsley fc maangers then every game is adjusted to be worth 3 points regardless of whether the season was actually only 2 points per game or if it was a cup game.
