Davey's problem - does he have the guts to drop McCann or Mattis?

On paper, this don't look a bad team:

Colgan

Hassel Kay Nyatanga Eckersley

Devaney Togwell Howard Hayes

Hungarian 1 Hungarian 2

The problem is, will Davey have the humility to admit he's dropped a clanger and signed two midfielders what aint up to scratch. And will he have the humility to recall Hayes and Kay (two of our most consistent players) even though he's had a bust-up with them.

The Derby lad sounds good, and if he's played 9 times for Wales at his age that's very impressive. Remember Derby will probably be in the Premiership next season, so it's no reflection on his ability that he can't get in their side. At least he's one of the few players in our team who has experience of playing at a good level.

The Hungarians looked promising on Saturday, and they are our main hope this season now I feel. Let's see how it goes...

No.

And Togwell will be jettisoned to make way for Ritchie Jones.

Kay will get the same treatment for Nyatanga. Richards will suffer the same fate for one of them Hungarians.

Clueless.

Agree with the back four and most of the midfield. Perhaps Reid on the left instead of Hayes.

I expect him to go with both Hippo's up front, looking forward to to seeing them.

Our strongest 3 players in my opinion are Howard, Togwell and Kay. All have been treated abysmally.

RE: No.

Don't think I have seen jones play. But I am not confident of us getting another point without togwell in the team. He is the only one that does the hard work in the middle of the pitch, that stops our defence getting slaughtered.

Togwell must be in the team...

Without him we really struggle. Don't know what all the fuss is about Nardiello either, I'd have Richards over him any day of the week. Two goals all season - what a striker!

Yes I'm sure he does

I think this will be team vs Soton
Colgan
Hassell Reid Nyatanga Eckersley
Devaney Togwell Jones Howard
Pete Steve

That is a very good side I think, definitley not one that should be relegated

No problem with a centre half replacement, although 'experienced' rather than 'promising' might have suited us better. Still wouldn't know whether to leave Kay or Reid out, they seem to alternate bad days. Play the 2 new Hungarians up front. Midfield's the tricky one, we've got far too many options now. For me Togwell and Howard would be in the middle, Dev out wide, then choose from new boy Jones, McCann, Mattis, Hayes, Reid etc etc. Whats he going to do - drop somebody when they don't get 8/10.. like a manic rotation system?
