Three nil down at home- Norwich force corners - we have all 11 players back in our penalty area - not one upfield. How clever is that?(N)

Agreed, my thoughts were that yesterday.

However, at 3-0 down with 60 minutes still to play there is still a remote chance you might get something out of the game. Would going gung-ho and maybe conceding a 4th - with 60 minutes stil left to play - have also being not the best move tactictally as that would have definatley meant the game was out of our reach? I think it's 6 n 2 x 3s this one.

Trying to play offside against a team with 3 little men up front.

Thats the biggest blunder for me.

We were lucky to get away with only letting 3 in. They were constantly hitting us on the break.

As soon as they scored the 1st we should have dropped deeper thus preventing them gettin in behind us.

Why do you think teams dont play offside against Arsenal.

I agree with you 100% on that one.

The first half was pretty torrid stuff and I was a little surprised how high we defended in the circumstances.

I'm also a little prepexed as to why Davey doesn't send Reid & Nayatanga forward for the majority of free kicks.

Agree Reid and Nyatanga up for free kicks, but then Heckingbottom too slow the amount of times either caught out of position or lacking pace to get back.

Would like to have seen K Reid on a little sooner though some pace down the wing.

aye but I would have taken off............................ Howard..... I can almost hear it... burn him burn him the heratic. Central midfield was disturbed as togwell seemed to end up on the right. Also Istervan needs balls in from wide areas if he is to score. He doesn't seem to be a back to goal player to me but whip the ball into him at head height and I think he'll get a barow full.

I also thought it should have been Howard off. McCann was playign well and Howard had a rare offday. Also we do need to start getting some quality crosses into the box for Ferenczi. He has scored 3 headers already and it is obviously a strength of his but how many times did we fail to get the ball into him. Corners, free-kicks and crosses from free play were being cleared by the 1st defender all too often. Give him the service and he will get loads.
