It might just be me but I would much rather see him in the middle than Perkins or Dawson.

He might not charge about like a bull in a china shop but he keeps possession and holds his position really well thus letting McCourt and our other attacking players get on with what they do.

I get sick of watching the two mentioned earlier running into positions where they are going to lose the ball and being miles up the pitch when they do it leaving us wide open.

The defence have received a lot of criticism this year but when your midfield is as open as ours your bound to concede bucket loads.

I thought he had but a player in his style would be better than the two we've got presently. Where's diggers?

Yes I am afraid we keep talking about Perkins and Dawson and who is best. Really neither are best. Dawson is a grafter but not up to standard. Perkins is a bit better, but runs inti brick walls and does not get into scoring positions etc. To be truthful, Wilson has his work cut out to make a good team out of some of these players. I personally think he his using matches to see at first hand what he has at his disposal. It would not surprise me if Fox plays Sunday at some period..
I also think he will fetch Rueben back and Dagnall. Come January I expect Cryne to invest a bit more for Wilson. Come New year I would expect some players will really realise they are on their way out. He may fetch youngsters into the fold as well

I always thought that good players made the ball do the work. These two run yards and then either lose the ball or pass two yards.

Players like Fox and Paddy will always divide opinions. They both have a footballers brain which imo Perkins and Dawson don't have to play them both together in the centre, that's not to say that Perkins and Dawson are awful but they don't have the ability to keep and recycle possession effectively. I know we'll never see now but it was amazing how well positionally disciplined Fox was, he was also tactically aware, i'd imagine he had a pretty high pass completion ratio as well for us. He never was a standout player but he worked away in the background keeping the ball moving and pulling the strings. One of the better quality loan players we've had recently for me.

Think bobby is perfect for holding role , be nice to see digby start again , not seen him since Blackpool game, but he looks to create and score so could be the solution

I like Fox and a decent player to have if there are creative players around him looked poor when surrounded by other hod carriers because he didn't have an outlet ball

Rarely seemed likely to a. Score b. assist or c. Break up play

I always think having at least one of these attributes helps as a midfielder, keen to have two of the three and ideally would have all three.
