Didn't he win promotion with Birmingham the year that we sold him? I think he scored a hat trick in a 'six-pointer' at Portsmouth?
Did he really?? Not sure, but his hair looked nice.... ACtually I remember being gutted when he left for B'ham - we were doing well & a big outcry as we were selling him to a promotion rival. Think he scored on his debut too.
Did he score at Oakwell on his return with Birmingham? He was quite an hard player too. Was it £60,000 we sold him for?

RE: Whatever it was.. Geddo went to Brum for a reported £80k in mid-December '84, shortly after notching a brace in a 3 all draw at Wimbledon that put us in Div 2's top 3. We brought 2 players in to replace him Ron Futcher & Rodger Wylde, despite having a good FAC run the goals more or less dried up and we eventually finished below mid-table. Geddis was one of the best all round strikers I've ever seen down at Oakwell and the fact that we let him go for such a meagre fee was a disgrace. But...it was during the miners' strike and our finances were in the red.
