Booing way out of order A few light hearted Dee-dah jibes, fair enough but there was no need for booing.
David Hirst He did ok for the brieh spell he was at the 'well, i must say, but i'd hardly class him as a legend. He's definitely more of a Wednesday legend if owt! To be fair to the chap, i daresay he 'had' to go due to our financial plight and the shekkels we got for him went a long way in keeping us afloat at a tricky time in our history - what with low gates and aftermath of the miner's strike etc. He certainly didn't deserve to be booed, but i can't understand why we was classed as an Oakwell legend either??
wasnt at the game unfortunatly but to boo him seems churlish, he did rally well during his short time with us and as has been said was sold to the big club to balance the books, give him dee dah banter yes but not boo him, bet most of those booing never saw him play anyway
RE: wasnt at the game unfortunatly but to boo him seems a wunce saw him lake tiddly winks at park rooerd club and he warnt reyt clever
HE STARTED AS A REDS PLAYER Lets not forget that, he didn't deserve the boo's. Local lad who had tremendous skill and we produced him.
The Reverend's Sermon fanzine He wasn't too happy about a cartoon in that little ditty that depicted him getting whipped by Howard Wilkinson in suspenders and knickers.
