So, let's see... we've bid for Williamson who we bid for

before when Ritchie was manager and we've signed the keeper Ritchie had on trial. Gosh Gordy, you're really ringing the changes!

Most Wednesday fans that I know were gutted when he was released.

They always seemed to rave about him saying best keeper in division etc. Got bad injury and then fell out with Sturrock re new contract.

    Was then released.

I personally think he will be a decent signing for us and will actually come for crosses unlike Colgan. Finally some proper competition to Colgan for his place and he can no longer be in the comfort zone.

Now for a striker, centre back, left back and midfielder and things may well improve.

    Funny that...

the couple of Wednesday fans in our Office say he was a right player and wish they still had him. Only went back because of an injury if my memory serves me correct

    Is he really ??

... don't thinks he's played for them this season as he's out of contract. Crossley replaced the loanee from Middlesbro.

Think Lucas' problem is he's very injury prone.

Agreed extra players are needed but Lucas is a very good keeper if fit.

Fingers crossed its the 1st signing of a few.

Seem to remember abit about Lucas and not just from playing at Wednesday. If fit, he is a pretty decent keeper and will put pressure on Colgan (THANK GOD).

Just mentioned this to a Wednesday friend

He said he wished they still had him . He's fed up with the number of loan signings they've had since he left (ie Nicky Weaver , Scott Carson , Brad Jones , Mark Crossley) and their only keeper on the books (Adamson) is nowhere near as good as Lucas . Apparently , Lucas turned down their initial offer of a contract in 2005 whilst injured , so Dave Allen withdrew it and sent him on his way .

    Correct

Not a bad keeper - great shot stopper, but probably not the best at organising your back 4.
