    Took a blow to head during his teams game earlier and carried on.
    Later on in game he collapsed on pitch
    Hope hes okay

    That's stupid, it's about time head injuries in football were taken a bit more seriously. Fck the macho 'I'll carry on stuff', get yourself off and get sorted.

    I agree but you will always get the wanting to carry on from competitive players, look at Dougall tried to carry on with a broken leg. It's up to the medical staff to protect them. I'm not sure what the rules are but it should be the case that the medics can overrule the coach.

    It is. That’s what caused Mourinho to fall out with Eva Carniero when she decided treating a player was higher priority

    Problem with head injuries is it’s not always possible to tell how severe they are initially and you can’t take players off for every little Knock. Anyone knocked out has to come off but just a bash is much more subjective.

    Yes that's the one that was in my mind, serves as a further problem then, the pressure of the people you work for wanting to keep the player on the pitch. So would a medic in a Mourinho team feel they could overrule him and take a player off.
