I have been far from his biggest fan but tonight his was the best individual performance I have seen from a Barnsley player in a long time.
AWESOME............only player who showed any shooting conviction. Everytime REDS won ball back it seemed to be from Perkins. Great work rate..............great attitude.............great player............great bargain Keith !!!!
I was dubious about him at first, but I'm a fan now. He just works and works. The passage of play where Done cut inside, and Perkins wanted him to run down the wing, just summed it up for me..... You could see how frustrated he was, but he just carried on with the ball, didn't lose possession, and waited til after it had gone to talk to (shout at ) Done. Easily MOM.
He should be good, he's played for Keith Hill longer than most. He knows exactly his strengths and his role in the team. The whole league is becoming aware of him. I still like the look of Cranie in that position and Dawson has been playing well too, it does give us options and cover though Perkins would be the first name on the teamsheet on the back of recent performances.
I must be the only one who thought he was poor tonight, Im a fan of him, but certainly didn't think it was his best game
Dawson ran his knackers off tonight - had to mindst with Etuhu doing nowt and Mellis not pulling any trees up.
You sure you were at Oakwell tonight, not some other game? If that was poor, God knows what he has to do to make people happy. MOTM by miles, and that was before the goal.
Ive always rated him highly, and i think he's our best player by miles, really really miss him when he's injured, and i think he'll be leaving in the new year he's too good for us
He'll stay if Hillcroft stay. The lad is an absolute diamond. Oh no sorry he's not......I forgot.....Keith doesn't know what he's doing. Lower league *****
If ever a player deserved a goal. Perkins was absolutely awesome tonight and to cap it off with a fantastic goal too. Foster ran forward with the ball. We lost it, who was there filling in at centre back to win the ball back? The referee managed to intercept a Reds pass, who was there to take the ball off the ref? Perkins could have been excused a quiet game tonight after his apparent heroics at Charlton, but instead he covered every blade of grass and did something that the attacking players seemed incapable of today, he had a shot. He was clearly the man of the match, and then he scored a cracker. I don't think any man of the match award has been easier.
