after qpr, a half decent keeper would have asved 4 of the goals, if not all 5.

So for the first goal you mean he should have run to the halfway line and tackled the guy with the ball but silly old keeper thought that maybe just maybe
one of his team mates in midfield or defence would have actually made an effort first.....

You are being very harsh in my opinion.

He has done well to date. He earned us a point at home to Swansea with an outstanding save.

Out of curiousity, which one of the five goals did you not blame him for?

    RE: David Preece

You're way over the top in saying that he shouldn't play again - anyone can have an off day as he did on Saturday.

However, he was at fault for the 2nd and 4th goals. The 4th was a killer, as without that I think we'd have levelled. In fact a minute before their 4th, we almost scored when Andy Gray was inches away from a low cross by Bogdanovic, and we were building up momentum. Hammill also went close. When Preece let in that howler, the impetus went.

Having said that, the way we let QPR play was really too much. We stood off - look at the first goal and also the supposed "wonder strike". Both their players had so much time to compose themselves and shoot. They were unchallenged! We just backed off.

I never noticed him going over on his ankle or limping around, he looked totally unconfident for the whole game punching and parrying things that were straight at him or catchable. his positioning for 1 and 3 was appaling, and 2 and 4 were virtual pass backs straight at him. he was stuck to his line for the 5th goal, it was a bit of a mix up but i thought maybe he could have claimed it before it was diverted passed him if he wasnt stuck to his line. He played well against swansea and burnley but he seemed to lack any self belief on saturday from the kick off.

The same could have been said about Muller at Ipswich.

last season but its just plainly daft to dispense with someones services because of one poor performance.

muller should have been dropped after ipswich last season, many thought he made 2 many errors and should have been dropped. i think preece is just not capable of being a number 1, i've never seen a keeper make so many mistakes in 1 game he had no fight in him to come back stronger or resolve to not let it happen again, it just kept happening! the defence was v poor 1st half but the keeper should still be able to make a standard save when called upon.

He had a bad game, end of story, so did many others ....

...... but he's played well in all his other games, if Steele was fit I would think Preece would have been dropped for tom night, but it's just daft to say he should never play for us again
