Him and Lindsay both at fault for second goal, no question about it; although I thought it was a foul as well... But are we going to ignore the 3 or 4 absolutely brilliant saves he made? For me, Davies is an amazing shot stopper that needs to improve on commanding his area a bit more. I reckon if he put on a bit of muscle he can really take it next level
Personally don't think he's improved at all just has a better side in front of him at this level. Good shot stopper is the bare minimum you'd expect from a keeper. Doesn't command his area at all is often glued to his line. His distribution is also shocking and as a result he is often slow to release the ball. He's generally ok at this level but I haven't seen any real improvement in him.
Davies aint good enough.... Simple as. He will make some good saves but all goalies do that. He makes too many mistakes and costs the team in the long run...Goalies that make too many mistakes arent good enough
He's more than good enough for this level and has already proven that in a decent team can hack it in the championship. I agree that he can improve parts of his game; his command of the area is one part I believe could improve but overall I think he is the best keeper in this league.
Undoubtedly the best keeper in league 1 would either need serious competition or replacement when we go up as the jury is out at an higher level.
I think inho that Davies is a fantastic shot stopper...with poor distribution and avarage area command. This is definately his level ...could we get better?......yes....but we could do worse. From the keepers ive seen this season id still say its 50/50 on how many keepers are better than him. Last night kind of summed him up......two absolute howlers...then 4 top top saves to keep us in it.
My point was more along the lines of he hasn't really improved at all in the time he has been here. Which is a real shame, his judgment is very poor, and he is basically mute. Baffled as to how he is captain.
