Just seen it on player, what a superb finish. Surprised it hasn't had more of a mention on here. I know it's often said, but this time I believe it's true - if a top Premiership player had produced that sort of finish, the MOTD team would have been w@nking over it for the rest of the season.
"Ohhhhh, what a goal by Aguero, sheer class" etc etc.. I think we saw the real Craig Davies yesterday, and he is now over the early nerves, and looking the striker we've been missing for many a year. It was key for me, the type of goals he got.. a one on one that THIS time he slotted in. And a deft flick that only a confident striker would even attempt. 4 in 4.. and he and Haynes looked promising together in a two
Agreed - a great finish. I like the way he lost his man in the box too - pulled away from the defender, stepping back to create the space.
I was going to put that I really was, honest! Totally agree, sign of a good finisher. Made a yard of space with quick thinking and movement, result? Goal. Superb effort.
I know I've been banging on about this..........but Davies has looked class ...........from the start of the season Problem is he got injured at the same time as Haynes so consequently we haven't had a strike force for MONTHS. We have missed a boat load of scoring opportunities in that time. We should be nearer the top now than what we currently are. Since Davies got injured he as been trying to get back to full fitness and sharpeness. Hence his misses infront of goal in the last couple of home matches (before Donny). But importantly you could see that Davies was getting into positions were he was in on goal. Mark my word when I say this - once he gets fit and his sharpeness returns we have got a good striker here. While Davies and Haynes have been out we have had to rely on Gray........and although Gray is a hard worker......he aint a goalscorer As soon as Davies and Hayes were injured the club should have brought loan signings in As its happened..........the club has brought a loan signing in AFTER Davies and Haynes are getting back to fitness. Which seems strange to me.
Re: I know I've been banging on about this..........but Davies has looked class I quite like the idea of a quote that has no relevance to the comment one makes. I might do it all the time.
