Got to admit I didn't expect him to motm But he did pull some good saves Having said that who else would you give it to Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I thought he redeemed himself well after being stuck to his line, letting them have a free header from inside his own six yard box for their goal. Alex Brooker would have come and grabbed the ball and Davies definitely should have. But no mistaking the number of top saves he made, including getting his bonce cut open.
Aye had he not been playing, we'd have lost 5-0 and Lee Jay might have got the sack. The *******. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Why on earth would a goalkeeper be marking their centre half? If their lad had a free header it's because his marker wasn't doing his job. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Old adage! Any ball in 6 yarder should be goalies but wont be if he is not commanding. Their goalie did it.
Problem being, Davies was one of about 12 players in the 6 yard box. Hard to command your area when you're swamped in it. Difficult to blame a goalkeeper for not catching a ball he couldn't get anywhere near. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Davies doesn't command his area anywhere near enough. There were a few today that were down his throat and he obviously didn't shout for them as defenders put them behind for a corner. And I agree that he could have done better for the goal. Yes it was crowded, but keepers get so much protection these days that a free kick is awarded if anyone touches them. Plus they can catch the thing - a second advantage. Davies is too timid to use either and come and make a challenge.
Correct. He's happy to command the edge of his area multiple times a game, yet can't take one or maybe two steps forward to grab a ball from what we call "baby range".
He was motm but,I thought he was at fault for the goal with his reluctance to come for the ball in the 6 yard box
