We need a new midfielder so doesn't mean Phillips is off or he's a replacement.

He's similar to Phillips so maybe the idea is to have someone like that either side of Connell to provide more goals from midfield.

 

That’s all very true and a midfield 3 of Connell, Phillips and him would be brilliant. However, I think with the transfer fee they’d be wanting, we’ll be needing to bring some transfer fees in. Maybe it can be the Styles transfer fee who knows.

 

27 in November and spent his entire career in League 2. I hope he can step up if we do sign him. At that age theres not much room for further development.

 

Only has a year left on his deal, they can’t demand that much for a league 2 player.

 

53 goals in his last 3 seasons. Should have got him when he left Oldham instead of him going to Burton for a few months.

I saw some of their fans saying they had an optional year extra but can’t seem to find anything to back that up. If he does only have a year left then the transfer fee should be doable.

 

There may be a decent budget but we still need a starting left wing back and striker (or 2) too.

Him and Phillips in midfield would sure result in a lot of goals.
