The guys had some stick recently but you can see from his reaction after Jennings goal that he loves this club.

Out of order at Huddersfield but nobody can say he doesn't care.

Great performance from the whole team.

Reading were very poor but i do think we made them look worse than they were.

What I've read on here BL there wasn't many questioning Dawson's commitment'workrate or loyalty the threads that I've read are about his quality constantly giving the ball away etc.

He'll give 100% trying to keep us in this league, that's all we can ask for.

That's right. We can't ask for any ability. Which is fortunate since he doesn't have any.

I watched the goal live and back on TV and that finish to me requires some quality

It was a fantastic finish. Dawson has fight and desire just too often he miscontrols or gives the ball away inviting pressure. Played very well against Reading but his very good games are just too infrequent.

Agreed. I was really impressed. He had players right in front of him and he had to find the corner. It was a very good finish. I was a bit surprised he managed it to be honest.

Dawson lacks ability, that is plain to see. However, as last season demonstrated, lack of quality will keep you in the lower echelons of the division, a lack of fight will send you down. He certainly doesn't lack fight and you can't knock his commitment to the cause. He's literally the only midfielder at the club (with the possible exception of an in form Etuhu) able to press the opposition and be able to get from box to box consistently. Perhaps it's a sad indictment of our current plight but he's probably one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment.

He does have ability, to say he doesn’t is just daft. He may not be consistently championship quality but that is not a reason to berate him when he is running his blood to water to help us. There are players at the club with real quality and ability who don’t have anything like the commitment and heart that he has - that sort of attitude should be berated.

    That's pretty much spot on.

This sums it up for me^^^.

Let's be honest the likes of Mellis, Frimpong & Woods all are better technically than Dawson but none of them have the required stamina / effort to displace him which tells you more about them than it does Dawson.

Dawson's a top end league 1 player & if we do go down he'll be a key player for us. I don't criticise anyone for not been good enough as long as they give 100% as if they're giving their all & aren't up to it that's the fault of whoever signed him not the player.
