    What are you talking about?

Wiseman received personal abuse from so called 'supporters'.

No one is abusing Dawson. In fact most rate him as a player who gives 100% and he is a player I would definitely want in my squad. However people are questioning why is he a guaranteed starter? As a supporter and a season ticket holder I am entitled to have an opinion on this.

I respect Dawson as a 100 percent trier. This league is just a step too far for him. While he's on the pitch he has my support as do all other players but in private it is reasonable to ask whether we can survive in this league playing 3 defensive midfielders

I just created a thread with my opinion on Dawson. It would make sense.

I've just read another post about Dawson and I can't catch my breath but sadly for him the bandwaggon is now rolling.

To say people are jumping on the bandwagon implies people are forming this view on Dawson without any reasoning. In fairness I have nothing against Dawson as I think he does have something to offer. I do however question why Flicker see's him has a guaranteed starter even after a number of poor performances.

There's some right ***** being spouted about Dawson. I completely understand the argument that we shouldn't be playing three defensive minded midfielders. But then it is a case of picking two from the three excellent ones we have. For me Perkins and Etuhu shade it but what a good position to be in. Especially given Perkins and Etuhu have missed quite a lot of games.

I remember the hysteria that we were down last year when Daws got injured, suddenly he's league one rubbish.

    It's not Dawson's fault it's Simon Davey's
    Or is it Jim Iley's?

You seriously think those three are excellent players?

In their positions and roles they are all very good. I appreciate its not the sexy eye-catching roles in the team. Taking Dawson out of it, because I appreciate you've never rated him, don't you think the other too are very good in their positions? Which defensive midfielders have been better for us in the last decade?

Mate, I rate them all. Especially Perks. But excellent defensive minded midfielders?
    Not for me.
Kelv is still adjusting, and is either great or gash. Daws is struggling, and for me, needs to make way. And Perks isn't defensive in my opinion.
If they were 'excellent defensive minded midfielders', considering we play all 3, we wouldn't have a shocking goal difference.
Get the ballers on. Can't get any worse.

I'd prefer us to have midfielders that can hurt as well as stop the opposition. If such players still exist.

And when I say hurt I mean create not fly in at knee height.

Difficult to answer because it depends how you define a "defensive midfielder" but if we say it's a player that is not all out attacking like Mellis or Howard, then I would say the following were better:- de Silva, McPhail, Burns, Colace, Hassell did as well when he was forced into that role, Doyle and probably a few more if I thought about it. In fact even though he was frustrating and had a shocking attitude, Mitch Ward was technically a better footballer than them all. Teymourian was also miles better technically but he was such a plodder that he never really contributed anything.

I don't think he's played particularly well this season, but I don't think he's played particularly poorly either. Cracking miss on Tuesday, but I've seen Gary Lineker miss those. He's been at least as good as Perkins and better than Etuhu, who is really struggling to recapture the form he was in during the second half of last season. Like the majority of this BBS, I don't think we should be playing all three together, but at the moment I'm not sure it should be Dawson who misses out.
