Day Out *Advice Needed*

    Got the day off on Thursday so fancy taking 'ar lass and our 18 month old daughter out somewhere for the afternoon/day. Somewhere that will obviously appeal to the little 'un.

    lots of animals to see. Also a play area.

    Should be quiet as the children will have returned to school.

    good choice

    I used to spend my summer holidays around there. Messing about in the water and walking the dog down to see the horses next to the sewage works by the cricket pitch

    If the weather is ok

    you could pack a picnic and the left overs could be fed to the ducks.

    Elsecar Heritage Centre / Elsecar Park

    Indoor Ball park play thingy in the Heritage Centre if weather is bad with cafe etc, The Park has improved beyond recognition in past year new swings etc and cafe stocks best custards i've tasted in yonks.
