One of the things I'm not quite clear about with regards to our sumner transfer dealings. I presume we had the money to pay the 4 contracts we offered the dearly (in some cases) departed midfield quartet regardless of who we did or didn't sell. I don't understand why we haven't replaced those 4 at least as we must have the money to do so. Not a criticism per se as I'm fairly happy to play the young lads and build for the future but we clearly need some experienced pros on board.
Rather then just go out and offer contracts to players that their willing to sign we're penny pinching and offering poor contracts as though we're not really bothered about singing players then we'll end up signing um week before season starts after all friendly's and pre season fitness training on the money we should have offered them a month ago because the clubs run by tight fisted bellends
I suppose that's one interpretation. Or we might be offering people what we think they are worth and they might want more. Like I say I understand us not going out and signing loads of players whilst we still have players on the books who are taking up a lot of the wage bill. But we clearly have the money we offered to the departed four and are clearly light on experience.
