DDR Memory help needed!

    I've asked for it to be upgraded.. but:

    Do i keep my 256mb and have an additional block of ?? size added

    Or

    Have one large card in and remove the smaller one

    Does it make a difference having 1 instead of 2?

    If the memory you're buying is the same speed as the existing stuff, keep the lot in.  If you put 1 faster stick and one slower stick on the same channel it all runs at the slower speed.

    you can keep what you already have in now, along side what your going to buy.

    they dont have to be the same size, eg in my laptop i have a 256MB and a 512MB.

    BUT DO CHECK THE SPEED. Like Revvie P said.
