De- frag

    Hi Guys, does anyone know how I can De-Frag my Laptop safetly...I'm a bit thick...Cheers.

    Assuming you're on Windows, do the following (Windows 7, may be slightly different on other versions): -

    Close all programs, including the BBS!

    Open Windows Explorer, and locate the C: drive, usually called "Local Disk (C: )"

    Right click on it and click "Properties"

    click on the tab marked "Tools"

    Click the "Defragment Now..." button and follow the instructions, usually by clicking "Defragment disk"

    Wait for hours, probably overnight, for the operation to finish. Don't use the laptop in the meantime.
