..Is this inquiry a subtle form of 'whitewash'? Whilst mistakes were made I can at least understand ( but not condone) how the officers concerned and with all the heightened tension made a catastrophic error and shot an innocent man.
Of course that is what the inquiry will conclude as the establishment close ranks.

What I find unforgivable and what should REALLY be the issue is all the mis-information that was dished out immeddiately after the shooting " the man was running" "the man was wearing a heavy padded coat in hot weather" "the man vaulted the barriers" ALL blatantly untrue and all calculated to put the idea into the public mind that the killing was fully justified. This story was not conceived and put out during moments of panic and instant reaction to a terrorist running into a crowded station but perpetrated after the event like some naught boy caught with his hand in the cookie jar and desperately trying to deny everything.

Whoever condoned that **** and bull story being issue to the press should be the ones in the dock. Liars trying to save their own skins!! (furious)

    But

The man should not have been in this country . His visa had ran out and he was an illegal immigrant, I dont mean that to sound like I think its Ok to shoot illegal immigrants, but if he had not been an illegal here in the UK and gone home to Brazil when his visa ran out, there would not have been a problem!

    you need help

Or maybe just go somewhere where you get your hands cut off for stealing a loaf of bread.

If I hadn't gone to Spain this summer I wouldn't have had my wallet nicked. Stupid wasn't I?

    Why

would I want to go somewhere they cut your hand off for stealing a loaf of bread?
If you like Spain , I see no problem with you going there.

If this guy had not been in this country illegally, then he would not have been in the station at that time and this incident would not have occurred.
    FACT.

The Police should not have shot him and I am not trying to excuse their actions. They were WRONG.

    RE: Why

It's difficult to see what point you are trying to make. Although you say the police should not have shot him you are implying that he has in some way brought this on himself for being here without a visa. If all you are saying is that if he hadn't been where he was then he wouldn't have been shot then I suppose you are lucky that you weren't there instead.
