Anderson has been in full contact training for almost six weeks.I agree with J.Coachman on this,we should have faith in the medical and coaching staff at Oakwell. If they think he's ready lets get him back in the team.
according to the one of the officials at the freindly he only allowed him to stay on for the full 90 as a favour to the club. any other time and he would have walked
RE: I don't trust Davey's involvement in selection of injured players Remember Muller playing 90 minutes? Davey said at the time "I won that argument" to keep the lad on, only for the injury to turn out serious. His priority seems to be the next match at all costs.
Bring bank Anderson and Mostto on Saturday both could add to our team, Anderson we know what he can do but Miguel is still an unknown quantity and he is after all the only other striker in our squad to have scored in reserves or first team this season apart from Hume
The hardest part of recovering from this kind of injury is mental. if in you mind, you're wary of a weak knee and protecting it when playing, its game over. Andersen has been flying into tackles apparently, so it seems he has no hang up. I remember back to when he first got diagnosed, and his attitude towards it was spot on - get me back on the field asap. He's young enough, dont see any problem with him coming straight back in, with a view of subbing him when he runs out of steam. And in answer to the "he's got better whilst injured", one of the last games I saw him play in was at Bramhall Lane, and he made Cottrill look a fool on more than one occasion. A lad who's playing regular Premiership football. He IS that good.
