Reading today that Kiely is absolutely desperate to leave Portsmouth when his loan spell expires - maybe on higher wages but he might be willing to sign a short term deal till the end of the season?
Would have been a great signing a few weeks ago. International and very good keeper. Same goes for Neil Sullivan who was available. But dont worry weve got one of Daveys old mates in instead.
I disagree Since Lucas is only on a month to month contract then if a better option comes up we should investigate it. I do believe we would benefit from an improvement in the goalkeeper (as well as other positions) but I concede that many do not. Just an opinion. If Lucas is not considered by the management to be worthy of a chance in the team then I say keep looking for someone that is
I don't think that's fair to David Lucas, who is a more than capable keeper.
Old mate of Davey's or not.

RE: I disagree I don't think there's any doubt about his ability - I suspect the short-term contract is more to do with him having to prove his fitness after such a long lay-off.
We don't need a keeper admittedly Colgan is prone to the odd error and seems glued to his line at times and too eager to come out at others but with other positions (cb, cf) in such a poor state I think we can manage with Colgan for at least the rest of this season and the money would be better spent improving other areas, especially if we get Lucas fairly cheaply as back up having been without an employer.
