Was it just me or did Ben Mansford look and sound really glum at that press conference? About as upbeat as a funeral directors and as usual Barry Taylor sat there like a complete melon and said absolutely nothing... Good job Danny was excited about coming back!

ben's just playing a straight bat. he's CEO, it's his job to be professional and serious about the questions put to him. so far i've been very impressed with him. he even appears to have recognised the faux pas with the crest....we'll see on that one though..

Lets not go back to that old music. It's well outdated and teams always took the p**s out of it.

I agree. "We're the red and white army" is indelibly inked on last season, it's not right for now.

Hardly can compare Evertons traditions to ours. 40,000 fans all singing a song which is there's, or ours which got happy clapped for a few seasons. Told in Evertons revamp with updated badge next season there are doing polls for a new song.

Not saying I'd be against it, I'm never in the ground at the time to hear it.

I suppose it depends on your age. But doubt you'd get many under 28 who would love it back. To me it sounds old and outdated, from a 70 mobile disco.

If your an old boy I'm sure you'd love it.

Not sure why we'd want to come out to Z Cars.

Although thinking about it, wasn't Colin Welland in that? And Colin was of course a mainstay in 'Kes', which is closely associated with Barnsley.

    So definitely maybe?

    Why not ?

They have their tune , we have our tune! I can see no good reason to change something that is indelibly linked to our club?

The ***** we have been having over the last few years has been a disgrace ! Something that was started by Davey, because he did not want to be reminded of the past !! If he had embraced it instead of ridiculing it, just like Hill, then maybe he would have understood the club and the supporters more !

By the way, Yes I am an old boy, in your terms anyway !! Also it was from the 80`s not 70`s and I fail to see why that is a bad thing.

I'm 25 and I'm desperate for it back, it gets my heart pumping everytime. If I heard that and saw Danny in dugout there would definitely be some happy tears!!

Can anyone remember going to Millmoor in the late 60's or early 70's? They played "Mighty Quinn" by Manfred Mann - really, really loud - as their captain was Johnny Quinn I think.

"Come on without, come on within. You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn".

Not that I'm saying we should have it at Oakwell, mind.
