I for one don't hold it against anyone for moving on to better themselves. Ive done it a few times myself in my own career. Some have come off and some haven't but you live and learn, I'm sure you'll understand that. The one thing though that I can't believe is why you have chosen 'that' club. My old man worked there for about a year, under Redders and I can guarantee he didn't enjoy a minute of it. Culturally horrific was about the crux of it. Everyone scared shitless of the mad italian and people been moved jobs without any due process. A coach who was made part of the first team plans, was canned to go back and work with the kids after only a few months, including a reduction in wages (which contravenes employment law for one). The entire environment was rotten and nobody enjoyed working there, not one. I can't understand why anyone would jump ship for that, I can understand if the job was at a more stable club with potential for promotion and career development but I can't help thinking you've made a big mistake. I can only imagine that they have offered you so much money that it was hard to turn down, if so then good luck, you will need it. I wouldn't go anywhere near leads for a million quid a year. It could potentially kill your fledgling career before it really got started.
To me it just casts a huge doubt over his professional judgement insofar as I wouldn't want anyone in a decision making capacity at the club who thinks it's a good idea to make such a career limiting move.
