Having watched The Reds over many years. I always thought that a football team consisted of players whose job it is as Defenders to stop the opposition from scoring goals. Strikers whose job it is to score as many goals as possible, and finally Midfield players who support Defenders when under pressure and also support the Strikers when we are attacking. Simple eh! For some reason this plot is not usually seen at BFC. To win you must score goals(fact) so surely this is achieved when the Strikers are active in the penalty area as we attack. But for some strange reason our only tactic is to play one of our two strikers out on the left wing all the time. With balls played long in his general direction in the hope he will win the ball.(Surely he should be in the penalty so the ball can be passed to him or his partner hopefully for a shot at goal. We do not have a Plan B if this system does not work as per today. A further observation today was on a few occasions when we broke forward by wing backs braking down the wing and actually crossing into the area. We had our strikers isolated against 4 or 5 defenders, with mid field support gently jogging forward some 20-25 yards behind the play. Another possible goal scoring chance lost. Get onto the training pitch and lets get some alternative plans sorted, so we can adjust if our current one and only plan fails to work. Rant Over
